Ecuadorian literary historian, writer of children's literature, journalist, essayist, art critic, promoter of culture and linguist.

Professional activities
Has initiated the largest study of the history of Ecuadorian literature: General History and Criticism of Literature Ecuador. In this work, the most encouragement that has been proposed in the literature one Ecuadorian and one of the largest in Latin America have emerged as some volumes.
In the field of art and criticism, has recorded the activities of artists over the past 40 years, artists whom he has accompanied and advised, and has compiled two dictionaries in the plastic of the twentieth century Ecuador.
